Instructions

To type directly with the computer keyboard:

• Type aa to get ā
• For the letters with a diacritic sign, add an apostrophe
  example: t#, j# (or c), H# (or x), d#, s#, S#, T#, G#, k# (or g)
• Type tt, dd, rr for the Urdu special characters
• Type h# for ʰ
• Type - for the hamza
• Type y-- for ئ
• Type &a, &u, &i to add the diacritics and && for the long consonant

How to type with this Online Urdu Keyboard

Using the online Urdu keyboard above, simply click on the letters, alphabets or symbols to enter them into the text box. After that you can click the Copy button or press Ctrl+C to copy. Or use the Save button to save the typed characters as a text file.

To directly type these alphabets in the above text box with your computer keyboard, obey the following instructions.
