Instructions
To type directly with the computer keyboard:
- Type a space key after every isolated consonant.
- Type q for the character a
- Type G for ng & J for ny
- Type sh or ç for ś
- Type aa, ii, uu, ee, oo (or A, I, U, E, O) for the long vowels ā, ī, ū, ē, ō
- Type -r and -ri for ri and rī
- Type -l and -li for li and lī
- Type an apostrophe ['] to type the intersyllabic tsheg
and type an exclamation mark [!] to type the tsheg shad

How to type with this Online Tibetan Keyboard
Using the online Tibetan keyboard above, simply click on the letters, alphabets or symbols to enter them into the text box. After that you can click the Copy button or press Ctrl+C to copy. Or use the Save button to save the typed characters as a text file.
To directly type these alphabets in the above text box with your computer keyboard, obey the following instructions.
- This Online keyboard above has some characters attached to some of the Tibetan character keys.
- In the text box, simply type these characters that are indicated on top of the keys to get the corresponding Tibetan alphabet, letter or symbol.
Once you are done typing your desired Tibetan letters, either use Ctrl+C to copy or use the copy or save buttons to copy or save the typed characters respectively.
