Instructions

To type directly with the computer keyboard:

• Double consonants: tt   nn   ll   rr   ss   (or T, N, L, R, S) for: ṭ   ṇ   ḷ   ṟ   ṣ
• Triple consonants: nnn for: ṉ
• Type G or ng for ṅ & J for ñ
• Type aa, ii, uu, ee, oo (or A, I, U, E, O) for the long vowels ā, ī, ū, ē, ō
• Type K for ஃ (visarga)
• Type M for ஂ (anusvara)

How to type with this Online Tamil Keyboard

Using the online Tamil keyboard above, simply click on the letters, alphabets or symbols to enter them into the text box. After that you can click the Copy button or press Ctrl+C to copy. Or use the Save button to save the typed characters as a text file.

To directly type these alphabets in the above text box with your computer keyboard, obey the following instructions.
